Seguin Valley Golf Club sits at 144 Badger Road near Parry Sound, spread across a spectacular 1,000 acre wilderness property in the Seguin River valley. This 18 hole, par 71 championship course has ranked among the top 100 golf courses in Canada, and one round here shows you why. Founded in the late 1990s and opened for play in 2003, it was designed to work with the land rather than against it, and the result is unforgettable.

The course weaves through granite cliffs, lakes, ponds, wetlands, creeks, and maple woods across nearly 400 acres. No two fairways run parallel, so every hole feels like its own private world, secluded and quiet. Elevation changes are constant, with elevated greens and carries over water that demand both nerve and strategy. The par 3 seventh, with its intimidating carry across a private lake to a tree framed green, is the signature hole. The par 5 fifth stretches 600 yards from the tips to a well bunkered green that arcs into the water.

Wildlife is part of the experience. Deer, moose, wild turkeys, foxes, herons, eagles, and even black bears have all been spotted from the fairways. Bring a cart, the course stretches about 11 kilometres and walking is not allowed. Carts are included in the green fee, with weekend rounds around $130.

After your round, the Bar and Grill serves Canadian favourites including the famous beer battered fish and chips. Stay and play packages offer waterfront cabins and cottages, fully stocked and ideal for golf groups. With men’s night on Wednesdays, tournaments, and leagues through the season, Seguin Valley is both a bucket list round and a local favourite.
