Hall’s Cottages, Campsites & Marina sits on the peaceful shores of Mill Lake at 28 Hall’s Quarry Road, just three minutes from downtown Parry Sound. A fixture for over 50 years, it has long been a go-to for affordable family camping and cottaging — close enough to town for groceries and restaurants, tucked away enough to feel like an escape.
The campground holds 42 sites, most of them seasonal, which gives the park a settled, neighbourly feel through the summer. The cottages are quaint, rustic cabins that sleep families comfortably at a fraction of big-resort prices, equipped with the general necessities — bring your own bedding. Tent and trailer campers get picnic tables, fire rings, restrooms, wifi and a boat ramp, and the whole property is pet-friendly.
The marina is the hub of the operation, offering gas, bait and snacks, dock slips for up to 35 boats, and rentals to get you on the water: 12-foot fishing boats with 6hp motors, plus canoes, kayaks and paddleboats. Mill Lake itself is the draw for anglers and swimmers alike, with a sandy-bottomed swimming area and a swim-up dock made for long summer afternoons.
The property changed hands in 2023 and the Hall family is no longer involved, but the formula that made it popular endures: simple, lakeside, family-priced camping minutes from town. Open from mid-May to Thanksgiving.
