Annie Williams Memorial Park is one of Bracebridge’s great family parks: ten acres of riverside green on the Muskoka River, left in trust in 1926 by Dr. James Francis Williams to be known by his late wife’s name and used forever as a park. Nearly a century on, it still does exactly that job.

The Town tags it for just about everything a family day needs: an unsupervised swimming area with a swim platform, canoeing and kayaking access, a playground (the Brazier Family Memorial Playground), a dog exercise area including a designated dog swimming spot in the river, an amphitheatre, a seasonal outdoor rink for winter skating, a picnic shelter with barbecue, washrooms, accessible walking trails, gardens, and free parking.

It’s also the town’s festival ground — home each July to the Muskoka Arts & Crafts Summer Show. A park with a river, a beach-adjacent swim, and a century of picnics behind it: Annie Williams is Bracebridge’s backyard, kept in trust for everyone.
