There’s no better way to kick off a Muskoka summer — or to treat Dad — than hundreds of gleaming machines parked on the grass at Gull Lake. The Gravenhurst Car Show, organized by the Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce since 1994, takes over Gull Lake Rotary Park each June on Father’s Day weekend (the 2026 edition rolled in on Saturday, June 20), filling the lakeside park with vintage classics, muscle cars, hot rods and custom builds.
Owners travel in from across Ontario to show their work, and the crowd comes free: spectator admission costs nothing, food vendors keep everyone fed, and the park’s beach and playground mean the kids are as entertained as the gearheads. Show entries support local community organizations, so the chrome comes with a conscience.
Now past its 30th year, the show has settled into the calendar as one of Muskoka’s signature summer kick-offs — polished paint, V8 rumble and picnic blankets on the Gull Lake shoreline. Whether you arrive in a ’57 Chevy or a minivan full of children, it’s the weekend Gravenhurst officially declares summer open.
