Restoule Provincial Park Beach

Restoule4

Restoule Provincial Park is located at 8818 Highway 534, in the heart of the Almaguin Highlands. The park is known for its rugged beauty, with the Fire Tower Trail offering sweeping views over the lakes. But for many visitors, the beaches are the main draw. There are two beach areas, and each one has something different to offer.

Kettle Beach is the family beach. It has a shallow, enclosed swim zone that is well suited to young swimmers. The park has laid down a Mobi-Mat here, which is a roll out pathway that makes the beach accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. It is a thoughtful touch that opens the water up to everyone. Bells Point Beach is the other option, and it welcomes dogs. If you are travelling with a four legged friend who loves the water, this is the spot for them. Visitors have called it one of the best dog friendly beaches in the provincial park system.

The park provides free floating beach wheelchairs, and day use parking is affordable, which makes Restoule an easy and budget friendly outing. The water is clean and the setting is peaceful, with the sounds of loons carrying across the lake in the evening. Beyond the beaches, the park offers canoe and kayak rentals, mountain bike trails, and stand up paddleboard rentals. The campgrounds are family friendly, with clean showers and sites tucked into the trees. Whether you come for a day swim or a longer stay, the beaches at Restoule are a quiet and welcoming place to cool off in the summer.
