For hikers who want the full tour, the Superberry Trail is the grand loop of the Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery — 6.3 kilometres of moderate hiking that strings the property’s best bits into one satisfying outing, taking about an hour and a half to two hours.
The route begins at the main parking area, following the Pioneer Trail past the Sugarbush, Trillium Garden, Table Rock and Pioneer Fence before branching onto the Cranberry Trail, where interpretive signage explains how cranberries are actually grown and harvested — knowledge that transforms the marsh views. From there it joins the Medora Creek Trail, the stretch locals rate best for wildlife spotting, with a good chance of seeing beavers, herons and other wetland residents.
The final leg returns via the Orville Lake Nature Trail, completing a loop that touches forest, marsh, creek and farmland in a single walk. Rated moderate rather than easy, it’s the most challenging of the farm’s loops, so good footwear is wise — but the effort is repaid with variety few single trails can match. Like all the farm’s trails, it’s open to hikers in summer and snowshoers in winter, with dogs welcome on leash. Note that trail access requires a farm pass beyond the store and café area.
