The Wiikwemkoong Annual Cultural Festival, also known as the Wikwemikong Pow Wow, is recognized as one of the largest and longest-running pow wows in North Eastern North America. Held annually on the Civic Holiday weekend in August at Thunderbird Park (Nimkii Bineshii Kaaning) on Manitoulin Island, the event is a massive celebration of Anishinaabe culture, music, and community.
