The LOWISA (Lake of the Woods International Sailing Association) Regatta is a premier seven-day sailing event held annually on Lake of the Woods, often departing from Northern Harbour near Kenora, Ontario. Self-described as "the greatest freshwater sailing race on earth," it attracts sailors from across North America for a week of point-to-point racing and wilderness cruising.
