Point Grondine Park is an Indigenous-owned wilderness destination located near Killarney and the North Channel region of Georgian Bay. Managed by Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, the park offers visitors an extraordinary combination of backcountry hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and cultural tourism experiences within some of Ontario’s most breathtaking cottage-country landscapes.

The park protects thousands of hectares of forests, rivers, lakes, and rugged Canadian Shield terrain while providing extensive hiking and paddling routes through remote wilderness settings. Visitors can explore scenic lookouts, waterfalls, river crossings, and shoreline landscapes while learning about Anishinaabe cultural connections to the land.

Point Grondine Park has become especially popular among adventure travellers seeking less crowded alternatives to nearby provincial parks while still experiencing world-class Northern Ontario scenery. The trail system includes routes ranging from shorter day hikes to multi-day backcountry adventures. Paddlers also enjoy access to interconnected waterways and wilderness campsites throughout the park.

Because of the remote nature of many routes, visitors should prepare appropriately with navigation tools, supplies, and proper outdoor equipment.
