a6-1
Newboro Lockstation is part of the historic Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site operated by Parks Canada that connects Ottawa and Kingston. The lockstation is located at the summit of the canal system where the Rideau Canal meets Upper Rideau Lake and Newboro Lake, and visitors can watch boats pass through the manually operated locks, explore historic buildings and grounds, picnic along the waterfront, and experience the heritage engineering of the 19th-century canal system.
