Hale Muskoka is Gravenhurst’s new gathering place: an open-air culinary market square and event venue set on a historic five-acre farm just off Highway 11. Soft-launched in the summer of 2025 by founders Eric Abugov and Robin Kerbel, it’s been designed from the ground up as a natural meeting spot for locals, cottagers and highway travellers alike.
The heartbeat of the place is the Friday Market, running weekly from ten to two, where local farmers and artisan vendors set up alongside food trucks and alfresco dining. The permanent “Cabin” boutique sells Canadian-made home décor, handcrafted gifts, cottage essentials and local food and drink. On the food side, expect smash burgers, poutine, fish and chips and local specialties like Marsters butter tarts, with live music, wellness events, art installations and gardens spread across the property.
Hale also throws a party: signature ticketed events include Smash & Sear, a celebrity-chef smash burger competition, and Board & Barrel, a charcuterie experience, plus an autumn festival and market. With indoor event barns in the works for weddings and celebrations, it’s positioning itself as a year-round destination — the kind of design-forward, food-first stop that gives Gravenhurst a whole new reason to pull off the highway.
