Located in the heart of Bruce Peninsula National Park near Tobermory, Cyprus Lake Campground is one of the most sought-after camping destinations in Ontario cottage country. The campground serves as the primary gateway to some of the Bruce Peninsula’s most iconic natural attractions, including The Grotto, Indian Head Cove, Georgian Bay shoreline lookouts, and portions of the Bruce Trail. Surrounded by towering cedar forests and the crystal-clear waters of Cyprus Lake, this destination appeals to families, hikers, paddlers, photographers, and outdoor enthusiasts looking for an authentic Northern Ontario camping experience. The campground features more than 200 drive-in campsites spread across the Birches, Poplars, and Tamarack camping areas. Campsites include picnic tables, fire pits, potable water access, and nearby comfort stations. While there are no serviced RV hookups, the location remains extremely popular because of its proximity to hiking trails and Georgian Bay viewpoints. Visitors frequently use Cyprus Lake Campground as a basecamp for day hikes, kayaking excursions, swimming adventures, and sunset photography tours. Summer and early fall are the busiest seasons, particularly from June through October when Bruce Peninsula tourism peaks. Reservations are strongly recommended months in advance due to high demand. Fall colours in September and October make this campground especially attractive for cottage-country road trips and shoulder-season getaways.
