Access the trail from the Park welcome center by South Otter Lake. Plenty of parking and a picnic area are located near the trailhead. The route parallels Big Salmon Lake road and passes Arab Lake. The top of the route is reached on the shore of Big Salmon Lake, with great trail options to further explore the area.
