Harris Lake Marina and Cottages sits at 1 Harris Lake Road near Pointe au Baril, about three hours north of Toronto off Highway 69. It is a full service marina with rental cottages, set on Harris Lake in some of the finest boating and fishing country in Ontario. The lake connects to an expansive water system that includes the Magnetawan River, so there is plenty of water to explore.
The marina offers a range of two and three bedroom cottages, each fully equipped with everything you need. There is a barbecue on the porch outside, and you just bring your own bedding and settle in. For a quick overnight there is even a small bunkie. Campsites are also available for those who prefer to sleep under canvas. The setting is quiet and wooded, with the kind of privacy that makes you feel properly away from it all.
On the marina side, there are 160 boat docks with room for boats up to 22 feet. Boat launching is free for guests, and mooring is available for longer stays. A water taxi can ferry you over to an island side cottage or campsite, and pontoon taxi and barge service is available for larger groups. Boat rentals include fishing boats, pontoons, canoes, kayaks, and pedal boats, all on daily rates. The service department handles boat engine repairs and maintenance.
The on site general store stocks the essentials: fishing tackle, basic groceries, ice cream, gas, oil, and fishing and hunting licences and permits. Fishing here is excellent, with pickerel, bass, pike, bluegill, and perch all in the lake. Whether you come to fish, paddle, hike, or just sit on the porch and watch the sun go down, Harris Lake Marina and Cottages is a classic northern Ontario getaway.
