Desmasdons Boatworks is the largest full service marine facility in Pointe au Baril, sitting at 18 Desmasdons Road on the edge of northern Georgian Bay. Established in 1946 and family owned ever since, it has grown into a boating institution. The current owners, Andy and Tonia Blenkarn along with Matt and Nicole French, have run it since 1998, building a reputation for impeccable service and long term customer relationships.
The sales department carries new and pre-owned boats from Grady-White, Key West, Rossiter, and Stanley, plus Yamaha Waverunners and outboard engines from Yamaha, Honda, and MerCruiser. Whether you are buying your first fishing boat or upgrading to a serious Georgian Bay cruiser, the sales team will help you find the right fit. In-house financing, boat insurance, trade-ins, and consignment are all available, and test drives and guided tours help you decide with confidence.
The marina side is equally impressive. There is dockage for roughly 200 boats, with 120 seasonal slips, plus storage for around 500 boats and parking for nearly 500 cars. A valet dry-dock service launches and retrieves your boat on request, so it is always ready when you are. The service department handles repairs, maintenance, winterization, and detailing. There is a gas dock for fuel, a dock store for parts and accessories, and boat rentals for those who want a day on the water without owning one. The marina is Clean Marine Certified and eco rated.
Pointe au Baril is the gateway to some of the most beautiful cruising water in Ontario, with the islands and channels of Georgian Bay spreading out in every direction. Desmasdons is where that adventure starts.
