The Lookout Trail at Georgian Bay Islands National Park is an easy and short hike, possible to be done with young kids. There is a cute little lookout at the end of the route, and the path has lots of trees and shade. You can even find some wild blueberries on the way, but be on the lookout for poison ivy and black bears.
Beausoleil Island is known to be one of Ontario's hidden gems. As a remote island that most locals do not even know exists, hiking here will transform your life, and you will soon learn why this loop is one of Canadians' favourite places to hike.
Interesting plant species like wild orchids, purple trilliums, and so many unique trees make this nature a lovely must-do experience. Hikers recommend keeping an eye out for the trail that shoots off and goes around Fairy Lake, one of a few lakes that exist on islands in Georgian Bay. If you want to stay overnight, there is camping on the island.
