The Sand Lake Gate is a major permit office for the "East Side" of Algonquin Park. This office offers Park information and bathroom facilities for access to the Achray Campground, Barron Canyon Trail, Grand Lake - Achray Access Point, Eastern Pines Backpacking Trail, McManus Lake Access Point, Mallard (Sec) Lake Access Point and Lake Travers Access Point.
